Washington County

The “Fiddling Capital of the World,” otherwise known as Weiser, Idaho, is the largest populated area in Washington County. Original, historic buildings from the late 1800’s  still stand in Weiser, and are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Washington County is also home to the small communities of Cambridge and Midvale founded in 1868. You’ll encounter a slower pace of life in Washington County, where community involvement with the local 4H clubs is highly valued, and most folks make their living in agriculture—whether that be through farm, ranch, orchard or livestock businesses.
